The Eh Team is a Vancouver 'Senior' Dragonboating Racing Team.
There is not a single 'senior' on our team.  Past Events....

At the end of our 2009 season, The Eh Team decided to become a more competitive team.  We were excited about our city hosting the successful 2010 Olympic and Paraolympic Games in Vancouver and Whistler.  Some of our paddlers even helped the olympic torch on its journey across False Creek in a dragonboat to the opening ceremonies.


Many more of our paddlers served as volunteers at the various venues for both the Olympics and Paraolympics, and others attended some of the competitions or just enjoyed the excitement of those magical days.  We were inspired by Canada's performance and are now working hard on our fitness and training to become a better team.


To that end, we began the 2010 racing season off with a successful recruitment drive and were able to attract a lot of new paddlers.  We have also ordered new uniforms and are looking forward to another successful racing season.

The Eh Team is a Dragon Boat Racing Team, formed in the year 2000 for men and women 50 years of age and over, looking for a sport with a challenge.


The team is comprised of 28+ paddlers, a steer person, drummer and coach. (Our team roster is kept at 26-28 paddlers to accommodate people on vacation etc.).


We are a dragon boating racing team and enter races from May to September and although we are a Senior's team we compete against all teams no matter what the age.


We are members of the False Creek Racing Canoe Club located on Granville Island and practice twice a week at False Creek on Wednesday & Friday mornings with a warm-up at 9:15a.m. and on the water from 9:30a.m. to 11:00a.m. rain or shine.


In the past nine years we have raced in Vancouver at the Alcan Festival, other local races include our own club races, Richmond and the Taiwanese Festival. We have also raced in Port Moody, Seattle, Victoria, Kelowna and will be in San Francisco this year too.


We have won numerous Ribbons, Bronze, Silver, Gold Medals and a Top Senior Team Award.


We are a fun team dedicated to the sport of dragon boat racing. Or team motto is:


"We paddle for fun but we race to win"


As part of our community service efforts we have introduced hundreds of school aged children to dragonboating. Many of these students were from ESL classes and had never been on the ocean before or in a dragonboat. It has been a most rewarding experience for our team and also for the students.
