Dragon Zone Regatta 2010

Last Saturday we travelled to Dragon Zone,

Which for the Eh Team is very close to home

To race in that dreaded boat, the Gemini

Which pinches our butt and bruises our thigh.

But people, let me tell you one thing to your face,

Our intentions were to do well at this race

And so Barbara and I keep a good rate

As we don’t want to tempt fate

And the rest of the team held in there as well

And paddled hard as our time did tell

We heard some grunts and groans and yells

But we were out front, or that is what Jan us tells.

And what do we see as we jump from the start

Why, two former coaches, who thought we didn’t have heart

And didn’t they look a little shocked

As past their boats we absolutely rocked.

We paddled so hard and Jan continued to yell

And the wake we created continued to swell

As we finally crossed the finish line

We knew we had done really really fine.

Even Doug our steersman had said with a sigh,

I hate that pig of a Gemini

But one thing we can proudly say before we die

We all have now proved that pigs can actually fly.
