Our First Regatta

Our first race of the season is now over and done,

and one things for sure - this Eh Team had fun!

Our athletic strokes set an excellent rate,

while our fearless steerspeople kept us going straight.

Our drummer perched high on her little brown stool

told us focus, lean out, stay strong and be cool.

All of the paddlers worked on staying strong,

we grunted, we groaned, but we kept our stroke long.

Hydrated we were, more than ample,

and could easily provide a clear urine sample.

In our final race none of us knew,

two more seconds would have given us place number '2'.

But we can hold our heads high, we all did our best,

lets enjoy a few days of well deserved rest.

One man can tend to the blister on his outside cheek,

which is sure to bother him for most of the week.

Others can mend the bruise on their hip and thigh,

from that dreaded boat - the Gemini!

When we turn up for practice on Wednesday we'll remember

to have a great season between now and September.
